Requirements:

• Prerequisite: Guhyagarbha Empowerment. If you have not received this empowerment, contact us at [email protected]

• Textbook: Essence of Clear Light by Jamgon Mipham (Purchase Here)

Course Guidelines:

• Attendance: Must attend at least 70% of the classes (maximum of four absences).
• Homework: Complete assigned readings and come prepared to discuss the current study topic.
• Assessments: Expect a pop quiz in each class and a final exam. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the semester.
• Pujas: Attend the Dakini Day and Guru Rinpoche Day Pujas scheduled during the semester as much as possible; this is very important to Rinpoche because it strengthens and repairs Samaya

For Online Students:

• Decorum: Participate with the same respect and reverence as at the temple. Do not eat or multitask during class.
• Camera: Keep your camera on during the class unless briefly occupied. If you have exceptional circumstances, please communicate them to us.
• Microphone: Keep your microphone muted unless responding to Rinpoche.
• Punctuality: Be online and ready 10 minutes before class starts and remain logged in for the entire session.

Requirements for New Students:

Spring 2025 marks the final semester for admitting new students to our Guhyagarbha Tantra course. This is a unique opportunity to explore this sacred text. We can still welcome new students because we have just started the book’s main subject: the 11 Vajra Topics. To catch up, Rinpoche requests that new students do the following:

• Purchase the book right away as it is a requirement – Essence of Clear Light by Jamgon Mipham (Purchase Here).
• Watch the recordings of all of our classes from the last two semesters before the spring semester starts.
• We will do our best to match you with a volunteer study companion for support – this cannot be guaranteed. 
• Take the three quizzes. 
• The Guhyagarbha Tantra Empowerment is required, but if you do not have this Empowerment, please let us know, and we will arrange a private hearing empowerment for you.

If you are a new student, please register for the course and email [email protected] to request the recordings and to let us know if you need the Guhyagarbha Tantra Empowerment.  Because these teachings are so valuable and to respect the Buddha Dharma, we will ask for a donation before we send you the recordings.  Please do not share the recordings with anyone, as doing so will damage your Samaya with Rinpoche, and it is against the Mipham Shedra policy.
