The first Saturday of each month we gather to practice Green Tara Puja for the benefit of all sentient beings. “In the course of the third turning of the Wheel of the Dharma, Buddha Shakyamuni gave many teachings on Tara…all of these became very popular in India and were brought to Tibet in the 8th center at the time of Guru Padmasambhava.  Over the next few centuries, Tara became one of the most popular and powerful deities of Tibetan Buddhism.” (Tara’s Enlightened Activity, p.13, Sherab & Dongyal, 2007).   This is a good puja to attend after you have attended a couple of Public Meditations. A wonderful way to start each month!  Chanting is in Tibetan and Rinpoche gives instruction in English.  Prior to attending this Puja, please refrain from meat, eggs, alcohol & drugs.  You are invited to bring fruit and/or flowers to place on the Shrine.
